Parent Partnership Service
This service can support you if you have a child under 3, who has been newly identified with a disability or who is undergoing assessment to identify a disability and can offer you: emotional support; someone to talk to and listen to your concerns; provide a link in the early years following diagnosis of a child's disability, or as they go through the process of assessment to identify a disability. The service can provide practical support to help you by supporting on initial visits to local community facilities/groups, liasing with services on your behalf, or accompanying you to meetings with professionals in order to raise awareness to your child's needs.
The Southampton Parent Partnership Service offers a free and independent service to parents or carers of children and young people aged 0-19 living in Southampton whose children have special education needs. The main aim of the service is to empower parents to make informed choices about their children’s education.
