A new comprehensive guide to childcare and services for children and families in Southampton has just been launched on the internet. The website contains a comprehensive range of information on everything from finding childcare to starting school, as well as links to useful websites on topics such as parenting, health and work life balance.  

The website has two powerful search facilities – a family life search which can look for activities, support, health and advice agencies in specific areas of the city, and a childcare search, which can search for childcare by area, or by pickup from a particular school.

The site has been developed by Southampton Early Years Development and Childcare Partnership, along with Southampton City Council and the Children’s Information Service (CIS). If you don’t have access to the internet, you can call the CIS free on 0800 169 8833   8.30 a.m. – 4.30 p.m. Monday to Friday.
